My edits are in for SKELETON CREW and I have to say I’m very happy with them. The pacing and plot are in good shape, no major structural issues, but Adan is going to get some more backstory and development. This makes me happy, because he’s starting to grow on me. 😉
My editor is expecting Book 2 in the Underworld Cycle next month, and I’m racing down the final stretch. I’m really pleased with the way it’s coming together — it has more of a thriller plot, and it’s a lot of fun to write. Release is tentatively scheduled for May 2011. Back to work!

This is a small milestone in the grand scheme of things, but it’s meaningful for me personally. As of today, I’m an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. The SFWA hosts the Nebula Awards and is the professional organization (at least in the U.S.) for science fiction and fantasy writers.
